Welcome to As Seen In Japan! Meet Tetsujin!

Hello! Welcome to As Seen In Japan! We are Gregg and Eriko, and we live in Kobe. Gregg is American, and Eriko is Japanese. We are a happy married couple, and we started this blog to show everyone all the fun and unusual things we see in Japan, like Tetsujin!

Big friend!

Tetsujin also lives in Kobe. His name roughly translates to “Iron Man.” He’ll serve as our unofficial mascot of sorts for this blog. He’s big and fun, and often people gather around him for weird festivals and events that no one ever tells us about or explains to us.

Something like this happens at least once a month, and we never have a clue what’s going on.

We’ve even introduced our American friends to Tetsujin!
